Classes We Offer

Our gym, located in Willow Point, focuses primarily on Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as a foundation for martial arts, offering classes for both adults and kids. We also offer weekly mixed martial arts classes that allow us to provide a wider range of self-defence skills. A key part of our training is the open mat where we spar against resisting opponents to further develop skills. Finally, we offer private and group lessons with our instructors for a more one-on-one approach.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Gi & NoGi

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a self-defence martial art based on grappling, ground fighting and submission holds. It focuses on the skill of controlling one's opponent, gaining a dominant position and using techniques to force them into submission via joint locks or chokeholds. BJJ teaches that a smaller, weaker person can successfully defend themselves against a bigger, stronger, heavier opponent. BJJ training can be used for sport grappling tournaments and in self-defence situations. BJJ is considered a martial art, a sport, a method of promoting physical fitness and building character, and a way of life.

Kids Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

In Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, your child will practice their skills against a resisting opponent during class. When your child first begins their training, they will experience failure that they can quickly learn from. Once they begin to embrace failures as opportunities for growth, they will develop the right mindset and attitude needed to achieve success later in life. Additionally, BJJ emphasizes the importance of physical activity and can instill positive habits in your child from an early age. Your child will grow to appreciate the benefits of coordination, flexibility, agility, and endurance as necessary elements to succeed in BJJ.

Mixed Martial Arts

Mixed Martial Arts is where it all comes together. This is the most unrestricted and practical hand-to-hand combat style. MMA focuses on incorporating striking with grappling and submissions. It also focuses on overall fitness and cardio which is a critical component of this art. Training yourself in MMA will not only give you a level of self-defence far superior to the vast majority but also give you an incredible level of fitness to help with everyday life.

Private & Group Lesson

Private lessons are a useful tool for both experienced BJJ athletes as well as new members who are just trying to find their rhythm on the mats. The one-on-one instruction you receive during a private lesson will cater to your own personal needs and development and help make your jiu-jitsu game more complete. Private lessons can also serve as an entry point for those of you who find the prospect of attending class too daunting. Group Privates are a fun way of building team unity in a healthy and unique environment and can help endorse an active lifestyle for the group you are a part of.
